Frequently Asked Questions

Are there any restrictions to your products?

There are some legal restrictions that change from state to state.  Check out our Legal Restrictions page for more information.  All orders will be reviewed prior to shipping in order to confirm that no products will be shipped to restricted areas against the laws of said area.

Are there any additional information I need to know about tasers?

Purchasers must be 18 years of age or older. After the taser is delivered to you, you will need to register it in order to activate it. You will do this by calling an 800 number or doing it online. This only takes a couple of minutes and full instructions come with the taser. It costs $9.95. It is a background check, so you might not want to bother ordering one if you have a criminal background.

Taser cartridges also have a unique serial number and are equipped with an Anti-Felon Identification system, which discharges 20-30 serialized paper tags when deployed. Law enforcement can later retrieve this confetti from the scene and contact Taser International to get the name of the owner of the taser device, allowing police to track any potential misuse.

If the taser is used in self defense, it can be deployed and left behind attached to the attacker causing incapacitation while you get to safety. When fired, the taser will deliver a 30 second energy burst. During this window of opportunity, you can set down the taser to keep the attacker incapacitated, while you escape. Send us a copy of the police report documenting the incident and we will replace your unit free of charge.

What sort of warranty is available on your stun guns?

All Stun Master stun guns come with a lifetime warranty, so long as they are used with an Energizer battery. The warranty is void otherwise.

How do stun guns work?

Stun guns are designed to startle or incapacitate an attacker from harming you.  A short blast of a quarter second will startle anyone attacking and cause minor muscle contractions.  A moderate blast of one to four seconds can cause an attacker to fall to the ground and result in some mental confusion.  It may make an assailant unwilling to continue an attack, but he will be able to get up almost immediately.  A full blast of five seconds can immobilize an attacker, cause disorientation, loss of balance, falling to the ground, and leave them weak and dazed for some minutes afterward.
